Andrew Neel

Andrew Neel (* 1978 in Stowe , Vermont ) is an American film director and screenwriter .

Career

Neel studied film at Columbia College, Columbia University in New York . After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts degree , he founded the film production company SeeThink Films with Ethan Palmer, Luke Meyer and Tom Davis in 2001 .

After Neel initially directed two documentaries, including the film Alice Neel , in which he portrayed his grandmother, the painter Alice Neel , who has received multiple awards for her creative work, he co-directed his film The Feature in 2008 first work on a feature film that celebrated its world premiere at the Berlinale . Neel received the New Visions Award in 2008 for his work on film with Michel Auder at the Copenhagen International Documentary Festival . In 2016 Neel presented his film Goat at the Berlinale .
