Andrew Redmayne (born January 13, 1989 in Gosford ) is an Australian football player in the service of the A-League club Sydney FC .

Career

Redmayne signed a professional contract with the Central Coast Mariners in 2007 after his time at the Australian Institute of Sport . He made his professional debut on the 6th match day of the 2008/09 season when he came on shortly after the start of the game for the injured Mark Bosnich . A week later he made his starting XI debut against Adelaide United. After he did not get past goalkeeper Danny Vukovic until 2010 and only made three league appearances in three years, he moved to league rivals Brisbane Roar for the 2010/11 season .

In 2008 Redmayne took part with the Australian U-20 selection as a goalkeeper in the U-19 Asian Cup and qualified by reaching the semi-finals for the 2009 Junior World Cup in Egypt. At the World Cup finals, he was behind Dean Bouzanis substitute goalkeeper in the first two group games and was only used in the final group game in the 1: 3 defeat against the eventual finalists Brazil.
