Andrew Scheinman

Andrew Scheinman (born April 19, 1948 ) is an American film producer, screenwriter and director.

Scheinman produced his first film in 1980 and wrote the screenplay for Charlton Heston's Gold Fever . In 1987 he founded a. a. with Rob Reiner the film company Castle Rock Entertainment and in the following years produced a number of films directed by Reiner. In 1993 he, Rob Reiner, and David Brown were nominated for an Oscar for producers of A Matter of Honor . The award went to Clint Eastwood for Merciless . In the same year he received an Emmy for producing the television series Seinfeld .

He last produced in 1996 and has since written several scripts, including a. for the films Bait and Flipped .
