Andrzej Bachleda-Curuś (born January 21, 1947 in Zakopane ) is a former Polish ski racer . He is the only Polish athlete who has won medals at an Alpine World Ski Championships.

On January 17, 1970, Bachleda finished in the top three for the first time in a World Cup race in the giant slalom in Kitzbühel . He finished second behind the Swiss Dumeng Giovanoli . A month later he won the bronze medal in the Alpine Combined at the Alpine World Ski Championships in Val Gardena .

On February 20, 1972, he achieved the only World Cup victory of his career in Banff, Canada . Two years later he celebrated the greatest success of his career with the silver medal in the Alpine Combined at the World Ski Championships in St. Moritz .

He is the father of Andrzej Bachleda-Curuś junior .
