Andrzej Bek (born June 26, 1951 in Łódź ) is a former Polish track cyclist and today's cycling trainer.

Andrzej Bek was a specialist in the short-term disciplines on the track. He was Polish champion six times in various disciplines. In 1970 he was third in the Polish sprint championship, in 1972 and 1974 he finished second.

In 1972 Bek started at the Olympic Games in Munich with Benedykt Kocot in a tandem race . The Polish duo won the bronze medal. At the UCI track world championships in 1974 he finished third with Kocot in the tandem race.

In 1978 Andrzej Bek went to the United States , where he competed in professional races. He then worked in the USA until 1996 as a trainer for the US national track cycling team and trained a. a. Marty Nothstein and Erin Hartwell . He was also the team leader at the Olympic Games in 1992 and 1996 . From 2002 he trained the Paralympic cycling team, especially the blind riders. In 2003 he worked for the Saturn Cycling Team , but then returned to the US Association as a trainer.

Andrzej Bek is the son of four-time Polish sprint champion Jerzy Bek , whose father Alfons was already a cyclist. He has a degree in mechanical engineering . He is married to the former national basketball player Lucyna Kałużna and lives in the USA.
