Andrzej Holszański

Andrzej Holszański ( Ukrainian Андрій Іванович Гольшанський Andrij Iwanowytsch Holschanskyj , Russian Андрей Иванович Гольшанский Andrei Ivanovich Golschanski ; † after 1410) was Prince of Wjasyn and (probably) the governor of Kiev .

Life

Andrzej came from the Holszański family . His father was Ivan Holszański . His year of birth is unknown.

In 1371 he was with other representatives of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania at the Moscow Prince Dmitri Donskoy . In 1401 he took part in the union of Vilnius and Radom with Poland .

Andrzej was governor of Kiev in 1410. The year of his death is unknown.

Marriage and offspring

Andrzej was married to Alexandra (around 1380-1426), daughter of Dmitrij von Druzk and Maria, daughter of Kęstutis .

They had three daughters:

  • Wassilissa (-1448), wife of Prince Ivan von Bels (married in 1422), Prince Michail Semjonowitsch (after 1446–1448)
  • Sophia (around 1405–1461), fourth wife of King Władysław II Jagiełło (marriage in 1422), mother of the Jagiellonians
  • Maria (-after 1456), wife of Prince Iljas of Moldova (1425 marriage)
