Andrzej Ratusiński

Andrzej Ratusiński (born November 9, 1949 in Starachowice ) is a Polish pianist and piano teacher who has been working in Germany since 1982.

He studied piano with the Polish pianist Margerita Trombini-Kazuro from 1968 to 1973 at the Higher State Music Academy in Warsaw and continued his studies with Vladimir Horowitz , Artur Rubinstein and Jorge Bolet . Ratusiński successfully took part in the Ferruccio Busoni piano competitions in 1973 in Bolzano and in the Tchaikovsky competition in Moscow in 1974 . In 1982 he moved to Germany, where he was appointed professor at the Stuttgart University of Music and Performing Arts in 1990, where he leads the piano class. In addition to his educational work, he performed with concerts, accompanied a. a. from the Orchester de la Suisse Romande , the Berlin Philharmonic , the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich with works by classical composers, as well as composers from Poland from Frédéric Chopin to Witold Lutosławski to Krzysztof Penderecki .
