Andrew "Andy" Halliday (born October 11, 1991 in Glasgow ) is a Scottish football player . The midfielder was most recently under contract with Glasgow Rangers in the Scottish Premiership .

Career

After he started in the youth of the Scottish club Ross County , he moved to the youth of the then champions Glasgow Rangers . He then began his professional career at Livingston FC before moving to the Premier League for Middlesbrough FC . There he could not prevail and was loaned several times before he returned to the Glasgow Rangers, with whom he also managed to get promoted to the Premiership. After an argument between Halliday and Joey Barton , Barton was suspended for 3 weeks.
