Life and work

Kubert was born in 1962 as the son of comic artist Joe Kubert . Together with his brother Adam Kubert , he followed in their father's footsteps in the 1980s and began working as a full-time comic artist.

His first published work included a miniseries about the sci-fi hero Adam Strange , which was released in the program of the East Coast publisher DC-Comics . Kubert first caused a stir as the draftsman of the crossiver Batman vs. Predator , in which both publishers let well-known characters from their repertoire appear in a common story.

In the 1990s Kubert mainly worked for the Marvel Comics publishing house , for which he mainly worked on various series of the X-Men series. He illustrated issues of the series Uncanny X-Men , Ultimate X-Men and X-Men Classic . There were also engagements in Marvel series such as Ghost Rider , Incredible Hulk , Captain America , Thor , Marvel 1602 and Ultimate Iron Man .

In 2005 Kubert signed an exclusive contract with DC-Comics, where he has since been in charge of the traditional Batman series , for which he puts the stories of the Scot Grant Morrison in the picture. In 2010 he and Neal Gaiman received the British Fantasy Award for Whatever Happened To The Caped Crusader? as the best graphic novel.
