Aneby is a place ( Tatort ) in the Swedish province of Jönköpings län and in the historical province of Småland , about 45 kilometers east of Jönköping and 22 kilometers north of Eksjö . The place is the main town of the municipality of the same name .

Aneby is an industrial town and, with three free churches in the town, it is a free church center.

North of Aneby is the 20 meter high Stalpet waterfall . Nearby is the Stjärneborg settlement with a railway museum. The local railway was developed by the engineer Malte Stierngranat , who also built new stations.
