Angélica da Costa

Angélica da Costa (born December 10, 1967 in Letefoho , Portuguese Timor ) is a politician from East Timor . She is a member of the FRETILIN party .

Career

Costa studied at the Pastoral Institute Indonesia IPI and had a Bachelor of Education in Economics. She later worked as a teacher at a pre-secondary school. From 2012 Costa was a member of the National Parliament of East Timor . She became a member of the Commission for Infrastructure and Social Facilities (Commission G). In the parliamentary elections in East Timor 2017 , Costa managed to move back into FRETILIN's 20th place on the list. On September 6th, Costa was elected Secretary of the Presidium of Parliament. She also became a member of the Commission on Constitutional Affairs, Justice, Public Administration, Local Jurisprudence and Anti-Corruption (Commission A).

In the parliamentary elections in 2018 , Conceição missed entry into parliament on list position 46.

From 2006 to 2012 and again since 2016, Costa has been a member of the Central Committee of FRETILIN (CCF) and also coordinator of the Organização Popular da Mulher Timorense (OPMT) in Manufahi .
