Ange Leccia

Ange Leccia (born April 19, 1952 in Minerviu, Barrettali in Corsica ) is a French installation artist , film director , screenwriter , photographer and painter.

life and work

Ange Leccia studied from 1981 to 1983 at the Académie de France à Rome , Villa Medici in Rome. In 1985 Leccia was appointed to the École supérieure d'art de Grenoble . He teaches at the École nationale supérieure d'arts de Cergy-Pontoise (ENSAPC) and works at the Palais de Tokyo in Paris.

Leccia's first film was Stridura , in (1980). His film Azé , which he made in 1999, was released in 2004. He made the films Île de Beauté (1996), Gold (2000) and Malus (2001) with the artist Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster . Leccia also worked with the singer Christophe and the dancer and choreographer Merce Cunningham .

Ange Leccia's work has been shown in internationally renowned museums: Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum , Center Georges Pompidou , City Art Museum à Hiroshima, 42nd Biennale di Venezia , documenta 8 , Fort von Salses (2015)
