Katharina Klingelhöfer
Katharina "Käthe" Klingelhöfer , née Nissel (born February 8, 1889 in Kiel , † June 8, 1977 in Berlin ), was a German politician ( SPD ).
Katharina Nissel was the daughter of a law firm and attended the Margareten-Lyzeum in Berlin-Mitte . She studied medicine and graduated from the medical state examination in 1916 . The following year, she put her license to practice as a doctor from. In 1918 she completed her doctorate and established herself as a general practitioner . In 1921 she joined the SPD. From 1922 to 1945 Klingelhöfer was a school doctor in the Neukölln district . After the " seizure of power " by the National Socialists , she was dismissed for political reasons in March 1933, but was reinstated in September of the same year.
After the Second World War , Klingelhöfer was head of the German Central Health Administration in the Soviet Occupation Zone (SBZ) until 1947 , after which she was a medical officer in the state health department . In the Berlin election in 1948 she was elected to the city council of Greater Berlin . In the following election in 1950 she was initially elected in the district assembly in the Tiergarten district, but in March 1952 Karl Kleikamp resigned from the Berlin House of Representatives and Klingelhöfer was able to move up. In 1954 she retired and left parliament in 1958.
The Berlin Senator for Economics and member of the Bundestag Gustav Klingelhöfer was her husband.
