Adilson Angel Abreu de Almeida Gomes (born August 31, 2000 in London ) is an English - Portuguese football player . He has been under contract with the French first division club OSC Lille since 2020 and plays on loan in the Primeira Liga for Boavista Porto in Portugal.
Career
Angel Gomes began his career in Manchester United youth . On May 21, 2017 (38th matchday), Gomes made his professional football debut with a substitution in the 88th minute of the league game against Crystal Palace for Wayne Rooney .
On August 9, 2020, Gomes moved to France to the first division club OSC Lille . This loaned him to Boavista Porto for one year in the Primeira Liga after the contract came into force .

Gomes is the son of the Portuguese Gil Gomes , who was born in what was then the colony of Angola and who worked for Sporting Braga and FC Wil in Switzerland during his career . Angel Gomes was born in 2000 when the father was playing for Hendon FC in England . After the father moved to Salford City , the family lived in Salford .
