Angela Lück (born August 1, 1959 in Löhne ) is a German politician ( SPD ). She has been a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia since 2010 .

Life

Angela Lück was born on August 1st, 1959 in Löhne. Lück obtained the technical college entrance qualification in 1975 . From 1975 to 1976 she attended the Protestant nursing school . From 1976 to 1979 she trained as a nurse . Between 1979 and 1990 she worked as a nurse in cardiology at the Heart and Diabetes Center NRW (HDZ) . Between 1990 and 2001 she worked as a freelance deputy works council chairman at the HDZ. In 2001 she took over the deputy head of the central sterile goods processing department in the HDZ and in the works council . Since 2006 she has been given partial leave for the works council.

Lück has two sons and has been married for a second time since 2007. Together with her current husband, she lives in Löhne.

politics

Lück joined the SPD on May 1, 1997. From 1999 to 2000 she was a competent citizen in the social committee of the city of Löhne. From 2000 to 2011 she was deputy chairwoman of the city association in Löhne, until 2010 a councilor and social committee member (from 2004 spokeswoman for the social committee). In 2002 she became the local association chairwoman in Löhne-Mitte , and since 2014 she has been elected deputy chairwoman there. From 2004 to 2010 she was a member of the city's main and finance committee. In 2006, she was elected deputy group leader. In the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2010 , she won the direct mandate in the Herford II state constituency against the previous Member of the Parliament, Chris Bollenbach (CDU), with 46.98 percent of all valid first votes . After her election to the state parliament, she resigned her council mandate. She was also a member of the 14th and 15th Federal Assemblies , which on June 30, 2010 initially appointed Christian Wulff as the successor to Horst Köhler and subsequently on March 18, 2012 Joachim Gauck as Federal President . She defended her constituency mandate in the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2012 with 49% of the first votes. Since May 2012, she has also been deputy chairwoman of the Herford SPD district association as well as the regional and state executive boards of the SPD. In the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2017 , Lück was again elected to the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia with 42.15% of the first votes. There she is a member of the Committee on Labor, Health and Social Affairs and the Petitions Committee; She is also a deputy member of the budgetary control and school and education committees.
