Chris Bollenbach

Chris Bollenbach (born December 4, 1972 in Rahden ) was a German politician ( CDU ) and was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia from 2005 to 2010 .

Life

Bollenbach grew up in Bünde near Herford . In his youth he was an active cyclist and also took part in races in the German championship. After his secondary school leaving certificate in 1990, he began training as a gas and water plumber , which he finished in 1993. In 1995/96 he did his military service in the Bundeswehr . After taking the master craftsman's examination in 1999, he and his parents opened a business in 2000, which he still runs today.

Political party

Bollenbach joined the Junge Union in 1989 and the CDU a year later. From 1990 to 1996 he was chairman of the Junge Union in Bünde and from 1992 to 1998 district chairman of the Junge Union Herford. In 1993 Bollenbach became deputy district chairman of the CDU Herford and from 1997 to 2005 he was deputy chairman of the CDU Bünde. In 2002 he took over the chairmanship of the local political association of the CDU in the district. From the end of 2007 to the beginning of 2011 he was CDU district chairman.

Public offices

From 1994 to 2014 Bollenbach was a member of the Herford district council and from 1999 chaired the youth welfare committee there .

In the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2005 , Bollenbach was elected to the NRW state parliament. There he was a full member of the School and Continuing Education Committee and the Petitions Committee. In the state elections in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2010 , he lost his direct mandate in Herford II to Angela Lück ( SPD ). He was a member of the state parliament from June 8, 2005 to June 8, 2010.
