Angela Williams (athlete, 1980)
Angela Williams (born January 30, 1980 in Bellflower , California ) is an American sprinter who is successful in the 100 and 200 meters .
Career
At the Junior World Championships in 1998 she was second in the 100-meter run.
At the 2001 World Indoor Championships , she won the silver medal in the 60-meter run . In the outdoor season of the same year she was nominated as a substitute runner in the 4 x 100 meter relay at the World Championships in Edmonton . She played the preliminary run, but was only allowed to watch the final.
She was able to repeat winning the silver medal over 60 meters at the 2003 World Indoor Championships . She also won the silver medal at the 2003 World Championships in Paris / Saint-Denis as the starting runner of the 4 x 100 meter relay . In sixth place at the US Trials in 2004 for the Olympic Games in Athens , she was nominated again for the relay. In Athens, however, the relay was disqualified in the final.
In 2008 she won gold over 60 meters at the World Indoor Championships in Valencia .
Angela Williams is 1.56 m tall and has a competition weight of 53 kg.
