Angelika core-Bader (* 31 August 1952 in Emmendingen as Angelika core ) is a former German gymnast . The balance beam was her favorite discipline .

life and career

The gymnast started for the TuS Teningen , won the German youth team championship in 1967 and was German champion five times :

  • 1968: balance beam
  • 1969: all around , balance beam, floor
  • 1970: all around

The 158 cm core took part in the 1968 Summer Olympics in Mexico City and the 1972 Summer Olympics in Munich. In 1968, Kern achieved 43rd place in the all-around competition (39th uneven bars , 46th jump , 52nd balance beam , 54th floor ), in the team all-around competition she reached ninth place with the West German team. Four years later, Kern came in 48th in the individual all-around competition (35th balance beam, 47th floor, 49th uneven bars, 61st jump), with the West German team she was eighth.

Kern-Bader practices as a general practitioner in Morbach in the Hunsrück. She has four children, her daughter Anna Bader , born in 1983, is a cliff and water diver .
