Angelika Trabert (born September 10, 1967 ) is a German dressage rider in the disabled equestrian sport . It starts nationally and internationally in the competition class Grade III (until 2016 referred to as Grade II)

Life

Angelika Trabert sat on a horse for the first time at the age of six. After graduating from high school in 1987, she studied medicine in Marburg and Frankfurt. Since 1996, the doctor of medicine has been working as an assistant doctor in the anesthesiology clinic at the university clinic in Mainz. In 1990 she acquired the German riding badge of class IV and class III. This was followed by training as a riding attendant (Trainer C) and as an instructor in riding as a sport for the disabled.

In 1999, then already on her own horse, she acquired the class II riding badge. In 2001 she passed the exam to become a trainer (amateur riding instructor) at the Dillenburg state stud . She bought her first own horse ( Ghazim ) in 1992.

At major competitions, Angelika Trabert is trained by the respective national trainer for riders with disabilities. Your exercise bike has been the horse management master Heinrich Damian Brähler since 2004. Normally sport she rides to class M .

At the FEI Gala 2010 in Taipei , she received the FEI Award in the “Against All Odds” category.

  • 2012: 3rd place in the individual evaluation (Championshiptest), 3rd place in the individual freestyle and 2nd place with the team at the Summer Paralympics in London on Ariva-Avanti
  • 2013: 2nd place in the individual competition (Championshiptest), 2nd place in the individual freestyle and 2nd place with the team at the European Championships in Herning on Ariva-Avanti
  • 2015: 8th place in the individual evaluation (championship test), 7th place in the individual freestyle at the European Championships in Deauville with First Lady Melody
  • 2017: 2nd place at the German Championships Grade III with Diamond's Shine

Awards

In November 2012, she and 163 other athletes were awarded the Silver Laurel Leaf .
