Albrecht Hoffmann

Albrecht Hoffmann (born August 22, 1941 in Celle ) is a German civil engineer , specialist historian and emeritus professor for the history of culture and technology in the civil engineering department at the University of Kassel . He is the author of numerous scientific papers on the cultural history of water. Hoffmann now lives in Marburg .

Life

Hoffmann studied civil engineering at the Technical University of Munich , the TH Braunschweig and the Philipps University of Marburg . After the great state examination , which he passed with distinction in 1970, he initially worked in the Hessian environmental administration. From 1983 to 1997 he was Director of the Water Management Office Marburg, then department head of the regional council casting . From 1999 to 2005 he was honorary professor at the University of Kassel.
