Angelin Preljocaj (born January 19, 1957 ) is a French dancer and choreographer of Albanian descent.

Preljocaj studied modern dance at the Paris Schola Cantorum with Karin Waehner. He showed his first choreography, the duo Aventures coloniales , in 1984 as a member of Dominique Bagouet's company. In 1985 Preljocaj founded his own dance company, today's Ballet Preljocaj . For the Ballet de l'Opéra de Paris he created the ballet Le Parc in 1994 , for which he received the Prix ​​Benois de la Danse the following year . Since then his works have found their way into the repertoire of international ballet companies, but he also writes commissioned works.
