Angelo Signorelli

Angelo Signorelli (born January 25, 1959 ) is an Italian enduro athlete . He won the Italian Enduro Championship several times, was twice European champion and won the silver vase and twice the trophy with the national team at the international six-day race .

Career

The nephew of the enduro driver Giuseppe Signorelli began active motorsport in 1974 on a 50 cc Ancillotti . After a few years as a test driver, he became Italian champion in the class up to 50 cm³ in 1979 with a Fantic and vice-European champion in the same class.

In 1980 he won the Italian championship in the class up to 75 cm³. In the Valli Bergamasche he was top of the class. The following year he became European and Italian champions with an 80 cc Fantic. At the international six-day trip on Elba , he won the silver vase classification with the Italian national team.

After Fantic withdrew from enduro sport, Angelo Signorelli switched to the Italian military sports group "Fiamme Oro" in 1982. In the 125 cm³ class he won the Valli Bergamasche with a Kramer .

In 1984 he switched to Arnaldo Farioli's team and was runner-up in a 125 cc KTM European champion. In the following two years he won the class up to 125 cc in the Italian championship with a KTM. In 1986 he finished second at the Inca Rally in Peru and won the trophy classification with the national team at the International Six-Day Race in San Pellegrino Terme .

In 1988 he was again European champion with a 125 cc KTM and best in class in the Valli Bergamasche. The following year he won the Inca rally. With the national team he won the trophy at the international six-day trip in Walldürn .

In 2001 he was Italian champion in the senior class of over 34s with a 400 cc four-stroke Honda . In the following year he was able to defend this title. In 2002 he was again with a Honda champion in the senior elite class.

In 2007 he won the Italian championship in the veteran class with a GasGas . From 2008 to 2010 he was able to defend this title with a Yamaha . In 2011 he won the super veteran class with a Yamaha.
