Angstrom Crater captured by Apollo 15 ( NASA photo)

Angstrom is a small impact crater on the northwestern front of the moon in the plain of Oceanus Procellarum . To the south, the Harbinger Mountains and the Rimae Prinz rises above the surface of the lunar ocean . To the east rise the mountain ranges of the Dorsum Bucher and Dorsum Argand . To the west is the Krieger crater .

The circular, bowl-shaped crater has an inner bottom surface with no significant features. The crater rim is interrupted by a few small impacts. The sloping inner walls have a higher albedo than the surrounding Maria .
