The Anibare Bay is the only bay of Nauru in the east of the island nation . This is where the most attractive tourist aspect of Naurus is.

The beach of the same name is covered with white coral sand. Almost all of it is located in the Anibare district . The two capes , which form the ends of the beach, which is more than two kilometers long, belong to the Ijuw district in the north and the Meneng district in the south.

Anibare Bay is the best place on the island to surf or swim. This is a bit risky, however, as there are heavy surf and dangerous underwater currents. The diversity of the underwater flora there, however, is a rarity. Perhaps it is so well preserved because Nauru has not yet been well developed for tourism .

Besides the Buada lagoon in the interior of the island, the bay is the only major attraction on the whole island. That is why the only hotel on the island, the Menen Hotel , is also in the immediate vicinity. In 2000, a seaport was built in the bay, the port of Anibare , which is primarily intended to promote fishing.
