The port of Anibare (English Anibare Harbor ) is a seaport in Nauru ; it is located on Anibare Bay in Anibare . In addition to the industrial and main port in Aiwo, it serves as a further seaport for fishing boats and the fishing industry. The port construction began in February 2000 and was completed in September 2000. The port is owned by the Nauruan government and the Anibare Boat Harbor Community (ABHC) . The A $ 10 million project was financed by the Japanese government.

Before construction began, seven locations on the Nauruan coast were examined, the main reason being that the decision was made to go to Anibare Bay because there was already a canal that had already been built and used for fishing ; however, it still had to be broadened and deepened. In addition, the geographical and geological conditions such as wind strength, location, fish stocks, erosion and morphology were very favorable. The port also interrupts the southern half of the only larger beach in Nauru, which takes away the charm of the beach for tourism and the Menen Hotel , which is located south of the port on Cape Menen . However, the proximity to the hotel is also an aspect of tourist interest.

The port facilities include a with steel beams turned-insulated dock where boats are anchored, two navigation auxiliary equipment and lighting marks, a boat ramp, a breakwater , a boat trailer parking and access roads. The harbor basin is also used as a public bathing pool.
