Aniela Aszpergerowa (1884)

Aniela Aszpergerowa , also Aszperger, born in Kamińska (born November 29, 1815 , 1816 or 1818 in Warsaw , † January 27, 1902 in Lwów ) was a Polish theater actress . She was married to the actor and theater director Wojciech Aszperger .

Life

Aszpergowa graduated from the theater school in Warsaw and made her debut in 1835 at Teatr Rozmaitości, where she was engaged. In August 1836 she went to the theater in Vilnius and played mainly the role of the naive in comedies. In Minsk she played from 1837 to 1839 in the group of Wojciech Aszperger, whom she married in 1838 and with whom she performed in Vilnius in the 1839/40 season . Until her wedding she performed as Aniela Kamińska. In July 1840 she played the title role of Rita Hiszpanka in the Warsaw Theater and was engaged. Since her husband was not accepted, she canceled the contract in August 1841 and went to Lwów with her family. There she was hired by Stanisław Skarbek in March 1842 . Due to conflicts with the theater director Tomasz Chełchowski , she left Lwów in 1855, spent a few months in Paris and played in Krakow from December 1855 . She returned to the theater in Lwów in 1857 and continued to work after her retirement in 1858.

In the course of a political process after the January uprising in 1864, she was sentenced to one year in prison, but was released after a short time. She lost her engagement and appeared from 1864 to 1867 only sporadically in guest performances in Lwów and Stanisławów .

She performed at the Kraków Theater from December 1867 to November 1869 and at the Poznan Theater from January to July 1870. Her efforts to get involved in the Warsaw Government Theaters ( Polish: Warszawskie Teatry Rządowe ) in the autumn of 1870 were in vain. Therefore, she returned to Krakow for a year and was engaged again at the theater in Lwów from April 1872 to 1889. She celebrated her 50th stage anniversary in 1884 in the role of the widow in Balladyna . She gave her last appearance in 1896.
