The Anisak River is a 95 km long right tributary of the Noatak River in northwest Alaska .
Its source is in the De Long Mountains , a mountain range of the Brooks range . It flows in a south-easterly direction through the Noatak National Preserve and flows opposite Lake Kangilipak into the Noatak River, which flows over the Kotzebue Sound to the Chukchi Sea , a marginal sea of the Arctic Ocean .
The United States Board on Geographic Names also uses the name "Abala River" for the river. In The Inupiaq Eskimo Nations of Northwest Alaska the name "Anisaam Kuuna" is used.
