Anita Ritzl (* 8. September 1976 in Vienna ), better known as Niddl , is an Austrian pop - singer .

Life

After studying the flute, accordion and drums as a teenager, Niddl's first artistic steps, which included speech and movement training, led him to the theater. After winning a karaoke competition in 1999, she worked on her singing alongside her actual job as an advertising assistant. She performed with the rock band “Stiletto & Friends”, sang for commercials and recorded the CD “Angels” with Tom Thorvis . In Popstars , she was among the last 15 candidates. This was followed by further musical activities with and for “Mixed Ingredients”, “DJ-Mozart”, Antonia feat. Sandra and "Edelweiss".

She gained a greater degree of awareness by participating in Starmania , where she reached fourth place. After the tour that followed, Universal Music released her single "Perfect Attitude", the B-track "I don't wanna be your friend" was composed by Diane Warren . The ninth place in the Austrian charts brought her in 2004 a nomination for the Amadeus Austrian Music Award .

In the period that followed, Niddl appeared with various groups and artists (74tea, DJ Sonic, Mike Ottis, ...), as well as with her regular group "Motions", which consists of Dieter Kolbeck , Willi Langer , Michael Dörfler and Lenny Dickson .

She writes one as “Dr. Niddl “is the title of the advisory column for the youth magazine Xpress , which ran on ATV in 2004 .

Working with Grammy winner Georg O. Luksch , after a few years' break, new works such as 2008 Turn it Up were created , which was audible on radio and television for the Snickers Sport Competition commercial.

On the occasion of the 30th anniversary celebration of “Respekt”, which took place in Vienna's U4 in 2010 , the soul / rock singer formed the first Niddl band - “Niddl & the NoNo Band”. In November 2010 the formation "Niddl Unplugged" was also created.

In 2011 Niddl was on the European summer tour for Magic Life and toured with the “NoNo Band” and “Niddl unplugged” through German-speaking countries. She also worked on her first solo album Time to Smile , which was released in April 2012. In June 2012 Niddl performed at the Donauinselfest in Vienna.
