Anita Siegfried

Anita Siegfried (born June 13, 1948 ) is a Swiss writer.

Life

She grew up in Basel and Aarau , studied prehistory, classical archeology and art history in Zurich and did her doctorate in 1976 on a cultural-historical topic from the early Iron Age in Europe. After long stays abroad (Prague, Rome, Brazil) she worked as an archaeologist and editor for the Swiss National Science Foundation and the Canton Archeology of Zurich. She has been a freelance writer since 1994, writing for adults and children. She lives with her family in Zurich .

Artistic creation

Mond im Kreis , the first novel for young people, was created from the combination of archeology and fiction. It is a story from the time of the early Celts . Two more books for young people with a historical background followed. Since then, the author has turned to other topics and has also written texts for picture books as well as five novels for adults and a play for children.
