Anja Müller (born March 24, 1973 in Bad Salzungen ) is a German politician ( Die Linke ). In the state elections in Thuringia in 2014 , she entered the Thuringian state parliament via the state list .

Political career

Anja Müller became a member of the PDS in 2005 . Since 2009 she has been chairwoman of the district association of the Left Wartburgkreis - Eisenach . From 2009 to 2013 she was a member of the state executive committee of the Left, where she acted as spokesperson for migration and integration policy, contact person for the working group on peace and international politics and as a representative of the left in the Thuringian Refugee Council.

Müller has been a member of the district council of the Wartburg district since 2009, where she works as chairwoman of the social committee. In addition, it has had a seat on the Leimbach municipal council (Wartburg district) since 2009 .

In the state elections in Thuringia in 2014, she ran in the constituency of Wartburgkreis I as a direct candidate of the left, but was subject to the CDU candidate Manfred Grob . Nevertheless, she moved into the state parliament via the state list of the Left, on which she held 25th place. In the state parliament, she is on the petitions committee and chairman of the prison commission.

Private

Anja Müller lives in Leimbach (Wartburg district). She is married and has two kids.

Memberships

From 2009 to 2013 Müller was the representative of DIE LINKE in the Thuringia Refugee Council. She is a member of the VdK .
