Anke Beilstein (born June 6, 1966 in Cochem / Mosel ) is a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament for the CDU . She lives with her husband and three children in Ernst / Mosel .

Life

In 1984, Beilstein was the wine queen of Ernst / Mosel and the regional wine princess of the Mosel-Saar-Ruwer growing region. From 1972 to 1976 she attended elementary school and from 1976 to 1985 the "Orientierungsstufe" and grammar schools in Cochem and Wittlich. In 1985 she passed her high school diploma and began her studies and training to become a graduate in administration at the Koblenz district government . After passing the exam in 1988, she worked for the Cochem-Zell district administration, most recently as the deputy head of the social assistance department. In the 1990s, she managed the local Agenda 21 process in the Cochem-Zell district . Her political activities at the state level began in 1998 as a member of the state board of the CDU's local political association . Since 2009 she has been the state chairwoman of the CDU's local political association. In addition, she has been a member of the state board of the Rhineland-Palatinate municipal and urban association since 2004 and a member of the extended board of the district council since 2009.

Political career

In 1986 she joined the Junge Union and the CDU. She founded the community association of the Junge Union Cochem-Land and got involved as deputy JU district chairwoman. Since 1989 she has been a member of the Ernst (Mosel) municipal council and the Cochem municipal council . From 1994 to 2004 she was parliamentary group leader of the CDU in the Cochem-Land municipal council. From 2004 to 2014 she was the mayor of Ernst. From 2004 to 2009 Beilstein I was an alderman in the Cochem-Land association. In 2006 she took over the office of district chairwoman of the CDU district association of Cochem-Zell . She has been a member of the Cochem-Zell district council since 2009. In the 2006 state elections , she succeeded Herbert Jullien as a candidate for the Cochem-Zell constituency . Despite her first appearance in a state election, she won the direct mandate against the SPD candidate Heike Raab (37.4%) with an absolute majority (55 %). In 2011 she was able to prevail against four other candidates with 52.3% of the votes in the constituency of Cochem-Zell.

From 2006 to 2011 Beilstein was a member of the Agriculture and Viticulture Committee of the Rhineland-Palatinate State Parliament, from 2006 to 2010 also the Committee for Equal Opportunities and the Advancement of Women, from 2006 to 2009 the Education Committee and since 2009 the Interior Committee. Since 2011 she has also been the local political spokesperson for her parliamentary group and also CDU chairwoman in the Enquete Commission of the Rhineland-Palatinate State Parliament 16/1 Local Finance .

In addition to her political commitment, Beilstein is also involved in voluntary activities. Among other things, she was the deputy school parent representative at the Martin-von-Cochem-Gymnasium. She is a founding member and president of BREVA as well as a member of the Board of Trustees of the Caritas Foundation Eifel-Mosel-Hunsrück. She is also a singer and flautist in the singing group " Animo ".
