The Anlauter-Braunjuratrichter is a natural area (082.28) of the southern Franconian Jura in the southwest German stepland . It is part of the Altmühlalb , a sub-area of ​​the southern Franconian Alb , which in turn belongs to the Franconian Alb , also known as the Franconian Alb .

Geographical description

The source of the Anlauter lies in the area and is somewhat sunk into the Malmkalf. The arable soils are dark brown because they are made from iron-rich Great Dane sandstone. Waterlogging is widespread in the valleys, which leads to slightly swampy soils.

In the north, the foreland of the Weißenburger Alb (110.32) borders the Weißenburger Bucht and the Thalach source area (110.40) in the foreland of the Anlauteralb (110.4), both of which belong to the foreland of the Southern Franconian Alb , on the other three sides the Anlauteralb ( 082.27).

The eponymous Anlauter and its tributaries, the Aschbach and the Erlenbach, drain the area. Where the Anlauter leaves the area is at 509  m above sea level. NHN the lowest point of the natural area at its southeastern tip. The highest elevations are nameless mountains south of Bergen ( 573  m above sea level ) and at north of Bergen ( 582  m above sea level and 583  m above sea level ). This is a Malmzeugenberg .

In the area of ​​the Anlauter-Braunjuratrichter there are only smaller villages. These are Thalmannsfeld , Bergen , Syburg , Dannhausen and Nennslingen . The area is only very sparsely populated and is used for agriculture and forestry.
