Dannhausen is a part of the municipality of Bergen in the central Franconian district of Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen . The village has 60 inhabitants (as of 1987) and is at an altitude of about 540 meters above  sea ​​level .

The village is located around 15 kilometers east of Weißenburg and three kilometers east of Bergen in the east of the Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen district. The Augraben , one of the two source rivers of the Erlenbach , rises at the edge of the forest to the northeast and flows past the place. In Dannhausen the district roads WUG 14 and the WUG 15 / RH 23 leading to Bergen intersect . The municipality border runs north to Heideck , east to Thalmässing . Not far is the headwaters of the Thalach .

Dannhausen was part of the municipality of Thalmannsfeld until the municipal reform . On May 1, 1978 Thalmannsfeld was incorporated into Bergen.
