The Augraben is the northeastern source river of the Erlenbach , a tributary of the Anlauter , near Bergen in the central Franconian district of Weißenburg-Gunzenhausen .
course
The excavation rises at an altitude of 562 m above sea level. NN on the northeast of Dannhausen not far from the border with the district of Roth on a plateau of the Weißenburger Alb , a ridge of the Franconian Alb . It flows steadily in a south-westerly direction and takes on several small, unnamed streams. The Augraben flows west past Thalmannsfeld and after a run of about 2.8 kilometers at an altitude of 520 m above sea level. NN southwest of Thalmannsfeld and near Syburg Castle with the main moat . During its entire course, the stream crosses a wide open landscape .
