Ann-Kathrin Nezik

Ann-Kathrin Nezik (* 1986 in the Ruhr area ) is a German journalist .

Career

After her Bachelor in American studies and German literature at the Humboldt University in Berlin in 2009 and a year as an exchange student at New York University , Nezik completed her North American studies at the John F. Kennedy Institute for North American Studies with a master’s degree . At the same time, she completed a language program at Zhejiang University and gained journalistic experience at the student magazine UnAufberford , including as editor-in-chief. From 2011 to 2012 she completed an apprenticeship at the German School of Journalism . She initially did internships at Der Spiegel , Stern and ZDF and then worked as a freelance journalist for Tagesspiegel . Since 2013 she has been an editor with a focus on digital economy and media in the economic department of Spiegel.

In 2017 Nezik was awarded the Herbert Quandt Media Prize and € 7,500 in prize money by the Johanna Quandt Foundation for her report “Pain Points Everywhere” about the SMS Group .
