Ann Zacharias

Ann Zezette Zacharias (born September 19, 1956 in Stockholm ) is a Swedish actress , screenwriter and director .

Life

Ann Zacharias is the daughter of the Swedish director Arne Ragneborn and Gun Zacharias. Her mother worked as a social worker, actress, and screenwriter. In the early 1970s, Zacharias went to Paris and made a living as a model and actress in supporting roles. She celebrated her breakthrough at the age of 17 in the film Tödlicher Markt (1974). In the same year she received her first leading role in the film The Last Adventure . She became known to a wider audience as Marguerite in Louis de Funès ' Breast or Club (1976). In 1982 she played Miss Elly in the film adaptation of Thomas Mann's Der Zauberberg .

In the 1980s, Zacharias began writing scripts and also directing them himself. Her film Le Test won the 1988 film award at the San Remo Film Festival. As the leading actress in the film, she won the Jantar Prize for "Best Actress".

Zacharias was married to the actor Sven-Bertil Taube , with whom she has a daughter Sascha Zacharias, who is also an actress. Two other children come from the relationship with the artist Ted Gärdestad .
