Anna-Bettina Kaiser

Anna-Bettina Kaiser (* 1976 ) is a German law scholar and university professor.

Life

From 1995 to 2000 Kaiser studied law and musicology at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg im Breisgau and graduated with the first state examination in law. In 2001, she received her Master of Laws from the University of Cambridge . From 2001 to 2003 she completed her legal clerkship at the Higher Regional Court of Karlsruhe, including positions at the Administrative Court of Baden-Württemberg , the Federal Constitutional Court ( Udo Steiner Department ) and the European Commission (merger control), completing this with the second state examination in law. From 2003 to 2010 she was initially a research assistant and later a research assistant at the Institute for Political Science and Legal Philosophy of the Law Faculty of the Albert Ludwig University of Freiburg i. Br. (Chair Andreas Vosskuhle ). In 2005 she had a teaching position at the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt . In 2007 she completed her doctorate in Freiburg. From 2010 to 2014 she was junior professor for public law at the Law Faculty of the Humboldt University in Berlin . In 2017, she completed her habilitation at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg with the thesis "Exceptional Constitutional Law" with the subsequent award of the Venia Legendi for public law, legal theory, constitutional history and administrative science. Since 2014 she has been a professor for public law and fundamentals of law at the Law Faculty of the Humboldt University in Berlin.
