Hanno Kube
Hanno Kube (born August 3, 1970 ) is a German legal scholar .
Life
After graduating from Atlantic College in Wales, Hanno Kube studied law at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg and the University of Geneva . From 1994 to 1995 he completed the Master of Law program at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York State ( Jacob Gould Schurman scholarship).
From 1995 to 1996 he was a research assistant at the Institute for Finance and Tax Law at the University of Heidelberg ( Paul Kirchhof ). In 1998 he received his doctorate at the University of Heidelberg , where he also completed his habilitation in 2003 (Reporters: Paul Kirchhof and Eberhard Schmidt-Aßmann ; Habilitation thesis: Financial power in the competence system).
From 2004 to 2005 he was a professor at the Catholic University of Eichstätt-Ingolstadt . From 2005 he held a chair for public law, European law, finance and tax law at Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz . On April 1, 2014, he succeeded his academic teacher Paul Kirchhof as professor at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg . He holds the chair for public law with special emphasis on finance and tax law and director of the Institute for finance and tax law at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg.
His main research interests are in the areas of constitutional law, European law, financial constitutional law and German, European and international tax law.
He is a legal representative before the Federal Constitutional Court , the Federal Administrative Court and the Court of Justice of the European Union .
Hanno Kube is married and has three children.
