Die Verwaltung , subtitled magazine for administrative law and administrative sciences, is a specialist journal for administrative law and administrative sciences founded in 1968 . It was published by Ernst Forsthoff from 1968 until his death in 1974 .

Today the editors are Gabriele Britz , Stefan Fisch , Johannes Masing , Matthias Ruffert , Klaus Ferdinand Gärditz and Michael Fehling ; it is published quarterly by Duncker & Humblot with a print run of 700 copies.

A predecessor magazine

The magazine Deutsche Verwaltung (DV) existed from 1933 to 1945 . It was founded in 1933 as the NSDAP body for administrative law. It became the magazine of the specialist group "Verwaltungsrechtswahrer" in the National Socialist Legal Guardian Association (NSRB). Predominantly law practitioners, such as ministerial councilors, mayors, district administrators and lawyers, published in it. But also the prominence of the NSDAP like Hans Frank , State Secretary Stuckart , Minister of the Interior [Wilhelm Frick] and others. a. From 1938 we also find authors from the SS . From 1940 u. a. Heydrich and Kaltenbrunner as editors. There are also scientific authors such as Theodor Maunz , Ulrich Scheuner and many more
