Anna Boden
Anna Boden (* 1976 ) is an American film director , screenwriter and film producer . Most of her projects work with Ryan Fleck .
Life
Boden and Ryan Fleck met on the set of a student film in the late 1990s. Boden was studying at Columbia University at the time .
In 2002 both continued with the documentary short film Have You Seen This Man? their first joint project. Two years later, the short film Gowanus, Brooklyn , was made, for which Boden wrote the script. Ryan Fleck was awarded the prize for best short film at the 2004 Sundance Film Festival .
2006 saw the team's first feature film project, Half Nelson , in which Ryan Gosling played the lead role. Boden and Fleck also worked together on the films Sugar and the adaptation of the novel It's Kind of a Funny Story .
In 2019 she directed Captain Marvel , the 21st feature film within the Marvel Cinematic Universe .
