Anna Felice Viti (born February 10, 1827 in Veroli , Italy ; † November 20, 1922 there ) is a blessed member of the Roman Catholic Church .

Life

Anna Felice Viti was born as the third child of the landowner Luigi Viti and his wife Anna Bono. After the early death of her mother, Anna Felice, only 14 years old, had to take care of the upbringing of her seven siblings as the eldest of the daughters and, because the father was addicted to alcohol, to look after the family. It was not until 1851 that she was able to fulfill her wish for life and enter the Benedictine monastery of Santa Maria dei Franconi in her home town. She received the religious name Maria Fortunata. It has been passed down from her that she observed the religious rule of St. Benedict with special devotion and that she cared for the needs of her fellow sisters with great love.

Adoration and Beatification

After her death, several medically inexplicable healings are said to have taken place. In 1935 the remains of Anna Felice Viti were transferred to the monastery church and the process of beatification began. The beatification took place in 1967 by Pope Paul VI.
