Anna Fischer (singer)

Anna Fischer (born February 6, 1971 in Gladbeck ) is a German opera, operetta, lied, concert and oratorio singer ( alto / mezzo-soprano ).

Life

After graduating from high school, she studied at the New Munich Drama School . She initially worked as an assistant director and actress at the Städtebundtheater Hof . This was followed by vocal training with Dietrich Henschel and at the Maastricht Conservatory. She continued her vocal training at the Cologne University of Music and Dance ; Dept. Wuppertal, continued with Barbara Schlick and Danielle Grimma . She took master classes with Ingeborg Danz , Kai Wessel , Esther de Bros , Gerhard Darmstadt , Konrad Junghänel and Irwin Gage . In 2001 she was a scholarship holder of the Munich Singing School founded by August Everding . Opera engagements have taken the artist to Arnhem, Potsdam, Wuppertal, Bonn, Meran, Cologne and Frankfurt / Oder. In 2005 Anna Fischer moved to the Cottbus State Theater . In the 2009/2010 season she was a member of the ensemble at the Regensburg City Theater . Since September 2010 the singer has been working freelance again.

Her opera / operetta repertoire includes the major parts of her subject, e.g. E.g. Hansel Hansel and Gretel , Lola Cavalleria rusticana , Dardano Amadigi , Baba Das Medium , Filipjewna Eugene Onegin , Czipra Der Gypsy Baron and Orlowsky Die Fledermaus .

In addition to her opera presence, Anna Fischer has made a name for herself as a lieder and concert singer. She has made guest appearances: Philharmonie Berlin , Philharmonie Cologne, Konzerthaus Berlin and Liederhalle Stuttgart . She has been working with Theo Palm since 2000 . The duo focuses on rediscovering and rediscovering forgotten or unknown composers such as Norbert Bergmüller , Max von Schillings or Felix von Weingartner .
