Anna Lena Riedel (born June 13, 2000 in Göttingen ) is a German soccer player .

Career

In the club

Riedel started playing soccer at JFV Eichsfeld with her one year younger brother Luis and went through various national selections of the Lower Saxony Football Association (NFV) . Via positions at JSG Höhbernsee, SVG Göttingen and SV Eintracht Gieboldehausen. In the summer of 2015, Riedel was able to recommend himself through good performances in the C-youth of the JSG Höhbernsee and switched to the elite school of sports and the B-youth of the FF USV Jena .

In the summer of 2017, Riedel was promoted to the second team of the FF USV Jena and made his adult debut on September 3, 2017 in a 0-0 draw against TV Jahn Delmenhorst .

On November 5, 2017, Riedel made her debut in the women's Bundesliga at the age of 17 when she came on as a substitute for Annika Graser in a 0-1 defeat against 1. FC Köln in the 67th minute .

After the 2018/2019 season, she ended her football career.

National team

On May 31, 2016, Riedel was appointed to a DFB team for the first time, so she played for the U-16s in the Nordic Cup in July 2016 in Norway . Almost four months later, she and her club colleagues Lara Schmidt and Maren Tellenbröker were appointed to the German U-17 national team.

Personal

Riedel attended the Eichsfeld-Gymnasium in Duderstadt and then from 2015 to 2018 the state sports high school “Joh. Chr. Fr. GutsMuths ” in Jena , with whom she won the bronze medal at the World Championship of the International School Sport Federation in the Czech Republic in May 2017 .
