Anna Månsdotter (born December 28, 1841 in Yngsjö , † August 7, 1890 in Kristianstad ) was the last woman who was executed in Sweden . She had murdered her daughter-in-law and was given the nickname " Yngsjö murderer " for this murder .

The victim was Månsdotter's daughter-in-law Hanna Johansdotter (1867-1889), who stood in the way of the incestuous relationship between Månsdotter and her son Per Nilsson. Anna Månsdotter strangled her daughter-in-law and tried to disguise the act as an accident (fall from the cellar stairs), but this failed.

Both Anna Månsdotter and her son - accused of complicity - pleaded guilty and were sentenced to death . On August 7, 1890, Anna Månsdotter was executed by the hand ax in Kristianstad . The executioner was Sweden's last executioner Albert Gustaf Dahlman († 1920). Månsdotter's son was sentenced to life hard labor and released in 1913. He died in 1918.
