Anna Torv Murdoch Mann (born June 30, 1944 in Glasgow , Scotland) is a Scottish writer and journalist . She is the bearer of the Order of Gregory .

Life

Anna Torv Murdoch, the child of a Scottish mother and an Estonian father, named Jacob Tõrv, was born in Glasgow in 1944 . She has two brothers and a sister.

She attended the RSM Religious Institute in Dublin . After graduating, she started working for the Australian newspaper Daily Telegraph . Then she worked at the News Corporation . She has written three books.

From 1967 to 1999 she was Rupert Murdoch's second wife ; when he broke up with her, she is said to have received $ 1.2 billion. Anna Torv has three children: Elisabeth Murdoch (* 1968), Lachlan Murdoch (* 1971) and James Murdoch (* 1972).
