Anna Nasiłowska

Anna Nasiłowska (born March 10, 1958 in Warsaw ) is a Polish literary historian , literary critic , prose writer and poet .

Life

Nasiłowska attended grammar school in Warsaw and graduated from high school in 1977. She then studied Polish and Philosophy at the University of Warsaw , where she obtained her master's degree in 1982 . After completing her studies, she worked as a journalist for the Radar newspaper and also completed postgraduate studies at the Instytut Badań Literackich of the Polish Academy of Sciences from 1983 to 1987 , where she was employed as a research assistant in 1987 . After her doctorate with the thesis Poezja opisowa Stanisława Trembeckiego , she was employed as a research assistant . As a scholarship holder, she continued her philosophy studies from 1990 to 1991 at the Collège international de philosophie in Paris . She also became editor of Teksty Drugie magazine in 1990 and later rose to become deputy editor-in-chief. At the Instytut Badań Literackich she completed her habilitation in 2001 with the work Persona liryczna and was employed as a lecturer . There she directed the creative writing course in 2007 . In addition, she was a professor at the Warsaw School of Humanities from 2007 to 2010. She was a member of the 2018 Nike Literature Prize jury .

She lives in Warsaw.
