Anna Schindler

Anna Schindler (born April 12, 1968 in Bern ) is a Swiss geographer , lecturer and journalist .

Life

Anna Schindler studied geography at the University of Bern , specializing in urban development .

As a culture and architecture journalist, she worked for various German and English-language newspapers and magazines, including as an editor for the Swiss specialist journal Werk ,bau und Wohnen . Schindler is the recipient of the Zurich Journalism Award 2002 , which she received for a series of articles in the Swiss weekly newspaper WOZ .

From 2005 to 2012 she was a lecturer at the Institute for Applied Media Studies and at the Center for Cultural Management at the Zurich University of Applied Sciences (ZHAW). Since 2011, Schindler has been Director of Urban Development for the City of Zurich , a service department of the Presidential Department of the City of Zurich.

Anna Schindler lives in Zurich with her husband and three sons.
