Anna Winger
Anna LeVine Winger (* 1970 in Massachusetts ) is an American writer who lives in Berlin .
Life
She grew up in Kenya , Cambridge (Massachusetts) and Mexico and studied at Columbia University in New York City . Winger writes for The New York Times Magazine and the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung . For NPR Worldwide, Winger designed the Berlin Stories radio series , a literary archive about the German capital.
Winger's first novel , This Must Be the Place , was published by Riverhead Books in 2008 . Anna Winger wrote the script for the television series Deutschland 83 together with her husband Jörg Winger . She and her husband were again responsible for the sequel Deutschland 86 produced in 2018 .
In 2020, Winger and Alexa Karolinski wrote the scripts for the Netflix miniseries Unorthodox based on the book of the same name by Deborah Feldman . Winger also acted as executive producer of the series.
