The Annasee is a natural lake near Beilstein in the district of Heilbronn in northern Baden-Württemberg . As a two-dimensional natural monument , it is under nature protection.

geography

The 1.0 hectare large Annasee is located about three kilometers northeast of Beilstein at 376.1  m above sea level. NN in the Beilstein city forest, near the hamlet of Gagernberg . The lake is particularly fed by the higher Tautzenbühl forest dome (summit at 418.9  m above sea level ) and of course dammed by the impermeable Lettenboden . It drains over the approximately 1.0 km long Annabach through the hillside forest to the Söhlbach , in which this at 284  m above sea level. NN opens opposite Helfenberg .

history

The lake and the surrounding forest have always belonged to the Beilstein community. The lake was also called Tannensee in the 19th century . In 1846 its size was said to be just under six and a half acres . In 1901, the Cluss Brewery sourced ice from the lake. Between 1923 and 1931 the lake was leased to the nearby hamlet of Gagernberg. In 1931 the lake almost ran out due to the breakthrough of a drainage device for the extraction of extinguishing water after Beilstein and was then desludged several times. The lake has been a protected part of the landscape since 1951. The lake's fishing water is leased to the Heilbronn-Sontheim fishing association.
