Anne-Katrin Hoffmann

Anne-Katrin Hoffmann (* 1971 in Düsseldorf ) is a German auctioneer , expert and gemologist .

Life

Anne-Katrin Hoffmann attended the business school in Velbert , where she graduated as a business economist . She trained as a gemologist and state-certified diamond and gemstone appraiser at the German Gemological Society in Idar-Oberstein .

At the age of 16 Hoffmann began her career as a temporary worker in an auction house in Cologne . She ran her first auction at the age of 24. From 1997 she was involved in setting up a new auction house in Berlin . In 2003 she moved to her parents' car company Rappold Karosseriewerke in Wülfrath as Head of Marketing , which manufactures funeral vehicles among other things.

Since 2010 she has been working full-time with auctions again. She maintains an office in the Wülfrath pedestrian zone with a team of eight. Hoffmann achieved nationwide fame through her appearances as an expert in the ZDF series Bares for Rares , where she primarily rated historical and modern jewelry in the seventh season from 2016.
